WALDORF CABBAGE SALAD
My dad always made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He called it Waldorf Salad, but it is really a cabbage salad 'Waldorf style'.

CABBAGE WALDORF SALAD
I like this recipe because it combines the tastes of a Waldorf salad with marshmallows and shredded cabbage. It's great for picnics and potlucks. -Diane Hixon, Niceville, Florida

Tips:
- Use a variety of cabbage. This recipe calls for green cabbage, but you can also use red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, or a combination of cabbages.
- Shred the cabbage thinly. This will help the cabbage absorb the dressing and make the salad more tender.
- Use fresh, crisp apples. Granny Smith apples are a good choice for this salad, but you can also use Honeycrisp, Braeburn, or another variety of crisp apple.
- Don't overdress the salad. A little dressing goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more to taste.
- Serve the salad immediately. Waldorf cabbage salad is best when served fresh. However, you can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Conclusion:
Waldorf cabbage salad is a delicious and refreshing salad that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a healthy and delicious salad, give Waldorf cabbage salad a try!
