Time 35m

Yield 6-9 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup water

  • -preheat oven to 350.
  • -stir the dry ingredients together.
  • -add in the wet ingredients
  • -grease an 8 by 8 inch pan.
  • -cook for about thirty minutes.

Tips:

  • Use the right ingredients: Make sure you have all the ingredients you need before you start baking. Using the wrong ingredients or substitutions can result in a cake that doesn't turn out as expected.
  • Follow the recipe carefully: Don't skip any steps or ingredients in the recipe. Each step is important for the success of the cake.
  • Measure your ingredients accurately: Use measuring cups and spoons to measure your ingredients. Guessing can lead to a cake that is too dry, too wet, or has the wrong flavor.
  • Use fresh baking powder and baking soda: Old baking powder and baking soda can lose their potency, resulting in a cake that doesn't rise properly.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake at the right temperature: The temperature of the oven is critical for the success of the cake. Make sure your oven is preheated to the correct temperature before you put the cake in.
  • Don't open the oven door during baking: Opening the oven door during baking can cause the cake to fall. Wait until the cake is done baking before you open the door.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting: If you frost the cake while it is still warm, the frosting will melt and run off. Let the cake cool completely before frosting it.

Wacky cake and spice cake are two delicious and easy-to-make cakes that are perfect for any occasion.
