Tips:

  • Select Quality Veggies: Choose fresh, crisp vegetables for the best flavor and texture. Bell peppers, mushrooms, and broccoli work well, but you can use any veggies you like.
  • Prepare Vegetables Properly: Cut the vegetables into uniform pieces so they cook evenly. Blanching firmer vegetables like broccoli and carrots briefly in boiling water helps retain their color and crispness.
  • Make a Flavorful Cheese Sauce: Use a blend of sharp cheddar and Parmesan cheeses for a rich, cheesy flavor. Add some Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce for extra depth of flavor.
  • Cook Veggies to Perfection: Sauté the vegetables over medium heat until they are tender but still have a slight bite. Overcooking will make them mushy.
  • Serve Immediately: Veggies with cheese gravy are best served hot. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or chives for a pop of color and freshness.

Conclusion:

Veggies with cheese gravy is a simple yet satisfying dish that combines the goodness of fresh vegetables with a creamy, cheesy sauce.
