A blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan is a classic choice, but you can also try Gouda, Gruyère, or goat cheese. - Seasoning: Don't be afraid to season your casserole well. Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder are all good choices. You can also add herbs like thyme, rosemary, or oregano. - Creamy Sauce: Make sure to use a creamy sauce that will coat the vegetables and cheese evenly. A simple béchamel sauce is a good option, or you can try using a cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup. - Crispy Topping: For a golden brown, crispy topping, sprinkle some bread crumbs or crushed crackers on top of the casserole before baking. You can also add a layer of grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor. - Cooking Temperature: Bake the casserole at a moderate temperature (350°F or 175°C) for about 30-40 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
