70g plain flour
900ml whole milk
2 tsp English mustard
150g mature cheddar

Tips:

  • Choose the right vegetables: Use a variety of vegetables that are in season and that you enjoy eating. Some good options include broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, and bell peppers.
  • Cut the vegetables into uniform pieces: This will help them cook evenly. If you are using a food processor, be careful not to over-process the vegetables, as this can make them mushy.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The cheese is one of the key ingredients in this dish, so it's important to use a cheese that you enjoy the taste of. Some good options include cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  • Don't overcook the vegetables: The vegetables should be cooked until they are tender, but still have a little bit of crunch. Overcooked vegetables will be mushy and bland.
  • Serve the vegetable cheese bake immediately: This dish is best served hot out of the oven. It can be served as a main course or a side dish.

Conclusion:

Vegetable cheese bake is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's a great way to get your daily dose of vegetables, and it's also a good source of protein and calcium. Plus, it's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a healthy and satisfying meal, give vegetable cheese bake a try.
