Vegan Ranch Dressing (Extra Creamy) image

This dressing is something I came up with when I stopped eating dairy. Its every bit as good as the dairy laden dressings but much healthier.

Time 5m

Yield 4 cups, 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup non-dairy mayonnaise
1 cup non dairy tofutti better-than-cream-cheese
2 cups non-dairy liquid coffee creamer (plain silk-soy)
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Mix all the ingredients in a blender until totally incorporated. Chill in the fridge for one hour, though it's good to eat right away. You can use this for dips as well, though I'd use less creamer and more cream cheese to give it a thicker consistency. Yield 4 cups.
  • Store in the fridge.
  • Bon Appetit!

Tips:

1. Use a High-Quality Blender: Invest in a powerful blender that can handle thick ingredients like cashews and create a smooth and creamy dressing. 2. Soak the Cashews: Soaking the cashews for at least 4 hours or overnight softens them, making them easier to blend and giving the dressing a richer flavor. 3. Adjust the Consistency: If you prefer a thinner dressing, add more almond milk or water. For a thicker dressing, blend for a longer time or add more cashews. 4. Season to Taste: Don't be afraid to adjust the seasonings to your preference. Add more lemon juice for a tangy kick, more garlic powder for a savory flavor, or more salt and pepper for a balanced taste. 5. Use Fresh Herbs: If you have fresh herbs like dill, chives, or parsley on hand, add them to the dressing for an extra burst of flavor and color.

Conclusion:

With its creamy texture, tangy flavor, and versatility, this vegan ranch dressing is a must-try for anyone looking for a delicious and dairy-free alternative to traditional ranch dressing. Whether you're using it as a dip for vegetables, a topping for salads, or a marinade for tofu or tempeh, this dressing is sure to impress. So, gather your ingredients, blend them up, and enjoy this creamy, flavorful, and guilt-free vegan ranch dressing!
