Tips:

  • Use a variety of vegetables: The more vegetables you use, the more flavorful your soup will be. Some good choices include carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, broccoli, and green beans.
  • Don't overcook the vegetables: You want the vegetables to be tender but still have a little bit of crunch. Overcooking them will make them mushy.
  • Use a good quality chicken broth: The chicken broth is the base of your soup, so it's important to use a good quality broth. Look for a broth that is low in sodium and has a rich flavor.
  • Season the soup to taste: Once the soup is done, taste it and adjust the seasonings as needed. You may want to add more salt, pepper, or herbs.
  • Serve the soup with your favorite toppings: Some popular toppings for chicken vegetable soup include croutons, shredded cheese, and sour cream.
