1 cup uncooked instant rice

2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup water
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Place the cabbage in a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the rice, salt if desired and pepper; spoon over cabbage. , Combine soup and water; pour over beef mixture. Cover and bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes or until rice and cabbage are tender. 1 onion, chopped
8 cups cabbage, cut into 1 inch wide strips (half of a 3 lb. cabbage)
1/2 cup water
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground meat and drain off any grease. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 3 minutes, until the onions are softened.
