Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the final dish. Look for plump chicken breasts, crisp vegetables, and a good quality soy sauce.
  • Marinate the chicken: Marinating the chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, and ginger will help to tenderize it and infuse it with flavor.
  • Cook the chicken in a hot wok: A hot wok will help to sear the chicken and prevent it from sticking. If you don't have a wok, you can use a large skillet.
  • Don't overcrowd the wok: When cooking the chicken and vegetables, don't overcrowd the wok. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Cook the noodles according to the package directions: Be sure to cook the noodles according to the package directions. Overcooked noodles will be mushy and unpleasant.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs: Garnish the chow mein with fresh herbs, such as cilantro or scallions, for a pop of color and flavor.
