Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 c huckleberries or blueberries (can sub raspberries, strawberries, etc.)
1 c ripe peach slices
1 c milk, plain kefir, coconut milk or similar
1 c vanilla yogurt (or plain yogurt + 1/4 tsp. vanilla paste or extract)
1/4 c honey or agave, to taste
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
4 cinnamon sticks, to garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Add all the ingredients except for the cinnamon sticks to a blender. BLEND until smooth. Taste and correct if necessary. Garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick if desired.

Tips:

  • Choose your fruits wisely: Some fruits lend themselves better to frosty drinks than others. Berries, melons, and citrus fruits are all excellent choices.
  • Freeze your fruit beforehand: Freezing the fruit before blending will help to create a thicker, creamier texture.
  • Use a powerful blender: A high-powered blender will be able to crush the ice and fruit more effectively, resulting in a smoother drink.
  • Add liquid as needed: The amount of liquid you need will vary depending on the type of fruit and ice you are using. Start with a small amount and add more as needed until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit or herbs: A garnish can add a pop of color and flavor to your frosty drink.
