30 MINUTE DINNER ROLLS

30 Minute Dinner Rolls image

I made these one time to go with soup that we were having for dinner. I made the dough balls too big and/or let them rise too much and they ended up being huge, but they were good and they were easy to make.

Tips:

  • Activate the yeast properly: Before starting the recipe, ensure the yeast is active and bubbly. This will help the buns rise properly during baking.
  • Use warm milk or water: Lukewarm liquid helps activate the yeast and promotes a better rise.
  • Knead the dough well: Kneading the dough develops the gluten, which gives the buns a chewy texture. Knead for at least 5-7 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: A warm environment helps the dough rise faster. Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and place it in a warm spot, such as a turned-off oven, for about 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  • Shape the buns evenly: To ensure uniform baking, shape the buns into equal-sized balls. This will help them rise and brown evenly.
  • Bake the buns at a high temperature: A high oven temperature (400°F or 200°C) creates a crispy crust and fluffy interior. Bake the buns for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Brush the buns with melted butter: After baking, brush the buns with melted butter to give them a shiny glaze and help keep them moist.

Conclusion:

These twenty-minute buns are a quick and easy recipe that yields soft, fluffy, and delicious buns perfect for sandwiches, burgers, or as a side dish. Following the tips mentioned above, you can achieve perfectly risen, golden-brown buns in just a short amount of time. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a beginner, this recipe is sure to become a favorite in your kitchen. Enjoy the delightful aroma and taste of freshly baked buns made with love!
