I found this Italian-style chicken recipe in a magazine and tweaked it to my family's tastes. I have taken it to potlucks and served it at dinner parties and no one ever guesses that it's made in the slow cooker. I serve this chicken entree with crusty bread and spinach salad with lemon vinaigrette. -Mary Watkins, Little Elm, Texas

Tips for Making Tuscan-Style Chicken:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make all the difference in your dish. Look for organic, free-range chicken, ripe tomatoes, and fresh herbs.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When searing the chicken, make sure there's enough space between the pieces so that they can brown evenly. If the pan is too crowded, the chicken will steam instead of sear.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat: This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out. If the heat is too high, the chicken will brown too quickly and the inside will be undercooked.
  • Use a meat thermometer: The best way to ensure that the chicken is cooked through is to use a meat thermometer. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken breast and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the chicken rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the chicken, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.

Conclusion:

Tuscan-style chicken is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for dinner or lunch. It's also a great way to use up leftover chicken. With its simple ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, this recipe is sure to become a favorite in your kitchen. So gather up the ingredients, put on an apron, and get cooking!
