CHICKEN CAKES WITH REMOULADE SAUCE (QUICK & EASY!)

Chicken Cakes With Remoulade Sauce (Quick & Easy!) image

This is a delicious and quick recipe using pre-cooked chicken. Great for a weeknight dinner. Use your own pre-cooked chicken, or buy a deli-roasted chicken...both yield about 3 cups of cooked chicken. Featured in Southern Living's 40 Years of Our Best Recipes cookbook as a "Quick & Easy" recipe. From some of the reviews, I think it isn't as quick and easy as they would like :).

SPICY CHICKEN CAKES WITH HORSERADISH AIOLI

Spicy Chicken Cakes With Horseradish Aioli image

These are really good as an entree or on a bun. I'd make them a little larger if putting on a bun. Not too spicy, kids should love them. I used only 1/2 tsp of garlic in the sauce and used regular mayo. I also sauteed these in olive oil and used closer to 2 tbsp. oil vs. 2 tsp. From Cooking Light Magazine

Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the dish will be. Look for fresh, organic produce and free-range, antibiotic-free chicken.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken is a delicate protein that can easily become dry and tough if overcooked. Cook it until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Make sure the aioli is well-seasoned: The aioli is a key component of this dish, so make sure it is flavorful. Use a good quality mayonnaise and add plenty of garlic, lemon juice, and herbs.
  • Serve the chicken cakes immediately: Chicken cakes are best served hot and fresh out of the pan. They can be reheated, but they will not be as crispy.

Conclusion:

Tuscan chicken cakes with golden aioli are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for a party or a weeknight dinner. With a few simple tips, you can make sure your chicken cakes are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. So next time you're looking for a new recipe to try, give these Tuscan chicken cakes a try.
