Tips:
- For the turkey: Use a combination of dark and white meat for a flavorful and moist result. Season the turkey generously with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs and spices.
- For the cornbread: Use a good quality cornmeal for the best flavor and texture. If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
- For the tostadas: Use a sturdy corn tortilla that won't break when you top it with the turkey and cornbread mixture. You can also use a flour tortilla if you prefer.
- For the toppings: Get creative with your toppings! Some popular options include salsa, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese, and diced tomatoes.
