Number Of Ingredients 6

2 1/2 to 3 cups leftover stuffing or 6 oz package chicken stuffing
1 cup chopped, cooked turkey
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
4 eggs, beaten
1 can evaporated milk, 5.5 oz
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. If using stuffing mix, prepare according to package directions. Press stuffing into greased 9 inch pie plate or quiche pan, forming a crust. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
  • 2. In small bowl, mix turkey and Swiss cheese; set aside. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk and pepper. Sprinkle turkey and cheese mixture over hot crust. Pour egg mixture over turkey. Lower oven temperature to 350 and bake quiche for 30 to3 5 minutes or til knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let quiche stand 10 minutes before serving. A unique variation on an all American classic. Serves 6

Tips:

  • Use a deep-dish pie plate. This will ensure that there is enough room for all of the ingredients and that the quiche will not overflow.
  • Don't overcook the turkey. Otherwise, it will become dry and tough. Cook it until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in the stuffing. This will add flavor and texture to the quiche. Some good options include celery, onion, carrots, and mushrooms.
  • Use fresh herbs in the stuffing. This will also add flavor and aroma to the quiche. Some good options include thyme, rosemary, and sage.
  • Don't overmix the quiche filling. Otherwise, it will become tough. Mix it just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the quiche at a high temperature for the first 15 minutes. This will help to set the crust and prevent it from becoming soggy.
  • Reduce the oven temperature for the remaining baking time. This will help to prevent the quiche from overcooking.
  • Let the quiche cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. This will help it to set and make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Turkey and stuffing quiche is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover turkey and stuffing, and it can also be made with fresh ingredients. This quiche is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
