Tips:

  • Choose ripe, firm tomatoes. This will help ensure that they hold their shape while baking and don't get too mushy.
  • Scoop out the tomato flesh carefully. Use a sharp knife to cut around the stem and then use a spoon to scoop out the flesh. Be careful not to puncture the skin of the tomato.
  • Stuff the tomatoes tightly with the tuna mixture. This will help prevent the tomatoes from collapsing while baking.
  • Bake the tomatoes until they are tender and the tuna mixture is cooked through. The cooking time will vary depending on the size of the tomatoes, but it should take about 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve the tomatoes warm or at room temperature. They can be enjoyed as a main course or as a side dish.

Conclusion:

Tuna stuffed tomatoes are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer meal. They are also a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is sure to please everyone at the table.
