Tips:

  • Choose the right tuna. Fresh or canned tuna can be used for this recipe, but canned tuna is more common. If using canned tuna, choose tuna packed in water rather than oil. It's healthier and will prevent the filling from becoming too oily.
  • Drain the jalapenos well. Before stuffing the jalapenos, drain them well to remove excess moisture. This will help prevent the filling from becoming watery.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the tops off the jalapenos. This will make it easier to stuff them and will help prevent the filling from falling out.
  • Remove the seeds and ribs from the jalapenos. This will help reduce the heat of the peppers. If you prefer mild jalapenos, you can remove more of the seeds and ribs.
  • Mix the filling ingredients well. Make sure that the tuna, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and spices are well combined. This will help ensure that the filling is evenly distributed throughout the jalapenos.
  • Stuff the jalapenos carefully. Use a spoon or a piping bag to stuff the jalapenos. Be careful not to overstuff them, as the filling may fall out during baking.
  • Bake the jalapenos until they are golden brown. This will take about 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on them so that they don't overcook.
  • Serve the jalapenos hot or cold. Tuna-stuffed jalapenos are delicious served hot or cold. They can be served as an appetizer, main course, or side dish.

Conclusion:

Tuna-stuffed jalapenos are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be served as a main course or side dish. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is both flavorful and satisfying. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy recipe, give tuna-stuffed jalapenos a try.
