Tuna in the Straw Casserole is a classic American dish that is easy to make and always a hit with the family. It is made with tuna, egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, milk, onion, celery, and saltines. The casserole gets its name from the way the egg noodles are cooked; they are boiled until they are soft and then cut into short pieces, resembling straws. The casserole is then topped with a layer of crushed saltines and baked until golden brown.

The first recipe is for the traditional casserole, while the second recipe is for a lightened-up version that uses reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup and milk.
