TUNA WITH A TWIST

Tuna With a Twist image

This is a recipe I found on the net and saved to try. It was originally from a caterer named Barbie. I love it. The secret ingredients that make this so yummy are the curry and parmesan. ( The dill is great too.) Now I never put either of those in my tuna before but it mixed oh so well. Try it on crackers or in a sandwich. Our family gobbles it up. Enjoy. ChefDLH

Time 10m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (7 ounce) can solid white tuna, drained and flaked
6 tablespoons mayonnaise or 6 tablespoons salad dressing
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1/8 teaspoon dried minced onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 pinch garlic powder

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the tuna, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, and onion flakes. Season with curry powder, parsley, dill and garlic powder. Mix well and serve with crackers or on a sandwich.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients for the best results. Fresh tuna, sharp cheddar cheese, and flaky puff pastry will make a big difference in the flavor of your twists.
  • Don't overmix the tuna salad. Overmixing can make the salad tough and dry.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the puff pastry sheets. A dull knife will tear the pastry and make it difficult to work with.
  • Be careful not to overcook the twists. Overcooked twists will be dry and tough.
  • Serve the twists warm or at room temperature. They are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Tuna cheese twists are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties and potlucks, and they are also a great way to use up leftover tuna. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create these tasty treats that everyone will love.
