THE WORLD'S BEST TUNA BURGERS!!!

The World's Best Tuna Burgers!!! image

I love this recipe because it is simple and packed with flavor. My sister when we were much younger had decided to stop eating meat, and so my mother and I had to create some new dishes for her to eat... we came up with this. It also works with canned Salmon...enjoy!!!

Provided by evagidov

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 15m

Yield 6 patties, 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 (6 ounce) cans solid white tuna, flaked
1 egg
1 cup of shredded cheese (whatever your preference)
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 medium onion, dices small
1/3 cup seasoned dry bread crumb, for the mix
1/2 cup breadcrumbs, on the side for coating
Pam cooking spray, for coating the pan

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl mix all ingredients together thoroughly. I noticed it is a better consistency if you mix with your hands.
  • Place the extra breadcrumbs for coating on a shallow dish.
  • Preheat pan on medium with Pam.
  • Form a patty with your hands and coat both sides of it with breadcrumbs.
  • Place the patty in a preheated fry pan.
  • Repeat steps until mix is finished, usually around 6 patties.
  • Cook until each side has browned and has a slight crispiness.
  • I like to serve them on toasted bread with mayo, lettuce, and tomato if you like.

Tips:

  • Use the right tuna. Fresh or canned tuna can be used for tuna burgers, but canned tuna is the more convenient option. When using canned tuna, choose tuna packed in water, not oil.
  • Drain the tuna well. Before adding the tuna to the burger mixture, make sure to drain it well. This will help to prevent the burgers from being too wet.
  • Use a variety of ingredients. In addition to tuna, you can add a variety of other ingredients to your tuna burgers, such as bread crumbs, eggs, mayonnaise, and spices. This will help to create a more flavorful and interesting burger.
  • Don't overmix the burger mixture. Overmixing the burger mixture can make the burgers tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat. Cooking the burgers over medium heat will help to prevent them from burning. Cook the burgers for about 4 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through.
  • Serve the burgers on a bun with your favorite toppings. Tuna burgers can be served on a bun with a variety of toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise.

Conclusion:

Tuna burgers are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. They are a great option for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner. With a variety of ingredients to choose from, you can create a tuna burger that is perfect for your taste. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give tuna burgers a try!
