TROPICAL BBQ CHICKEN

Tropical BBQ Chicken image

I couldn't find any recipes for a tropical bbq chicken that had all the ingredients I wanted to use so I made one myself. If you want a thicker sauce I would reduced the pineapple juice by 1/2 a cup or increase the flour by a tablespoon.

Tips:

  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the chicken its delicious flavor, so make sure to use a flavorful combination of spices and herbs. The recipe in the article uses a marinade made with pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  • Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes: This will give the marinade time to penetrate the chicken and infuse it with flavor. You can marinate the chicken for up to 24 hours, but 30 minutes is the minimum amount of time needed to get good flavor.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat: This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out. If you cook the chicken over high heat, it will brown too quickly on the outside and be undercooked on the inside.
  • Baste the chicken with the marinade while it cooks: This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful. You can also baste the chicken with a mixture of pineapple juice and brown sugar for a sweeter flavor.
  • Serve the chicken with your favorite sides: The recipe in the article suggests serving the chicken with rice and pineapple salsa, but you can serve it with any of your favorite sides. Some other good options include mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.

Conclusion:

Tropical BBQ chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout. The marinade gives the chicken a flavorful and juicy interior, while the BBQ sauce gives it a sweet and smoky exterior. Serve the chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!
