Time 5h

Yield 72

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups white sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the cocoa mixture. Cover dough, and chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Roll dough into one inch balls. I like to use a number 50 size scoop. Coat each ball in confectioners' sugar before placing onto prepared cookie sheets.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A combination of semisweet, dark, and cocoa powder creates a rich and complex chocolate taste.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Roll the balls of dough in powdered sugar before baking. This will give the cookies a festive and sparkly appearance.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.

Conclusion:

These triple chocolate crinkles are the perfect holiday cookie. They are rich, chocolatey, and festive. With their crinkled tops and powdered sugar coating, they are sure to be a hit at any holiday party. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy-to-make holiday cookie, give these triple chocolate crinkles a try. You won't be disappointed!
