TRIPLE CHIP COOKIES
Steps:
- In a medium bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda and set aside. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and shortening together. Add both sugars and cream together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix only until combined. Gradually add dry ingredients but do not over mix. Add chips and coconut and stir until combined. Chill dough for an hour or up to overnight. Preheat oven to 350. Form dough into fist-sized balls and place at least 3 inches apart (you will only be able to fit 6 to a sheet). Bake cookies about 12 to 14 minutes until just starting to brown but don't overbake. Let cool 1 minute on sheets before transfering to tin-foil lined counters. Let set 30 minutes before moving to a plate, etc.
Tips:
- Use quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your cookies will taste. Look for high-quality chocolate chips, butter, and flour.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy: This will help to create a smooth, even cookie dough. You can use an electric mixer or a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment to do this.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing can make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking: This will help to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven. If you don't have time to chill the dough, you can bake the cookies immediately, but they may spread more.
- Bake the cookies at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to brown: Don't overbake the cookies, or they will be dry and crumbly. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Conclusion:
Triple chip cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With their combination of chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and toffee chips, these cookies are sure to please everyone. Just be sure to follow the tips above to ensure that your cookies turn out perfectly. Enjoy!
