TRIPLE BERRY CRISP
This is a wonderful berry crisp. I use a triple berry mixture of raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries, but just one works well too! My family loves it! Serve it with whipped cream and it looks great.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Make the topping first by combining the oats, flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the melted butter and stir to incorporate. Set aside.
- In another bowl add the frozen berries, flour, sugar, salt, lemon juice and vanilla extract and toss gently to combine.
- Pour mixture into an 8x8'' or similar size casserole dish or pie plate. Glob the topping ingredients evenly over the top (I say "glob" because the mixture will be softer than your normal dry crumble topping, because of the melted butter).
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and berries are bubbling around the edges.
- Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack, and allow to cool for at least 7-10 minutes before serving. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
- Cover leftovers and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Tips:
- Choose the right berries: This recipe is versatile and works well with a variety of berries. Look for berries that are plump and ripe, with no signs of bruising or mold. Fresh or frozen berries can be used.
- Make sure the crumble topping is evenly distributed: This will help to ensure that the crumble is evenly cooked and that each bite has a good balance of berries and topping.
- Don't overcook the crumble: The crumble is done when the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbling hot. Overcooking the crumble can result in a dry, tough topping.
- Serve the crumble warm: Tri-berry crumble is best served warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also sprinkle some extra powdered sugar on top before serving.
Conclusion:
Tri-berry crumble is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's a great way to use up fresh berries, and it's also a fun recipe to make with kids. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious and satisfying dessert that the whole family will love.
