Giving credit where credit is due: "From Grandma's Kitchen by Marilyn Brass & Sheila Brass. This soup is good served hot or cold. Tips:

  • Choose ripe tomatoes: Use ripe, juicy tomatoes for the best flavor. Look for tomatoes that are deep red in color and have no blemishes.
  • Use creamy peanut butter: Creamy peanut butter will give the soup a smooth and creamy texture. Avoid using chunky peanut butter, as it will not blend well.
  • Add vegetables for extra nutrition: Feel free to add other vegetables to the soup, such as carrots, celery, or onions. This will add extra nutrition and flavor to the soup.
  • Adjust the spiciness to your liking: If you like spicy food, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the soup. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Serve the soup with your favorite toppings, such as croutons, chopped peanuts, or a dollop of yogurt.

Conclusion:

Tomato peanut butter soup is a delicious, easy-to-make soup that is perfect for a quick and healthy meal. It is a great way to use up leftover tomatoes and peanut butter, and it can be easily customized to your liking. So next time you are looking for a new and exciting soup recipe, give tomato peanut butter soup a try. You won't be disappointed!
