EASY AND QUICK SWISS STEAK

This was my favorite growing up. I was amazed when I was older and asked my mom for the recipe how EASY it is! A small amount of prep. time, a day in the slow cooker, and you'll be amazed! It sounds too simple to be good... TRUST me! This gets RAVE reviews when we make it! The amount of vegetables is only an estimate. Use as many or as few as you choose. When it's done, you will have a yummy gravy, and will have to carefully dig for the steak pieces.

SIRLOIN STEAK WITH TOMATOES AND GARLIC (FOR 1 DOUBLE FOR 2)

Sirloin Steak with Tomatoes and Garlic (for 1 double for 2) image

Make and share this Sirloin Steak with Tomatoes and Garlic (for 1 double for 2) recipe from Food.com.

Provided by Derf2440

Categories     Vegetable

Time 17m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 ounces boneless sirloin steaks
1 tablespoon oil
1 clove garlic, smashed
1/4 cup red wine
1 medium ripe tomatoes, cut into eight wedges
your favourite seasoning salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Season both sides of steak with meat seasoning salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in frypan over medium heat.
  • Brown each side of the meat, with the garlic, for 12 minutes, depending on your preference of rareness.
  • Add tomato wedges, cook for a minute and pour wine over steak, sizzle a few seconds more.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, ripe tomatoes and peppers for the best flavor. Look for a well-marbled sirloin steak for a tender and juicy result.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a mixture of olive oil, herbs, and spices helps tenderize it and infuse it with flavor.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: This will help sear the outside of the steak and create a nice crust while keeping the inside juicy and tender.
  • Don't overcook the steak: Overcooked steak will be tough and dry. Cook it to your desired doneness, but err on the side of undercooking it slightly.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing: This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.

Conclusion:

This tomato and pepper sirloin steak recipe is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The steak is marinated in a mixture of olive oil, herbs, and spices, then seared over high heat and served with a delicious tomato and pepper sauce. This dish is sure to please everyone at the table, and it is a great way to enjoy fresh, seasonal produce.
