TOLLHOUSE PIE

Tollhouse Pie image

The original concept is from Nestle®, but this is my version of the Toll House® pie. The original version was dense and greasy; mine is more cake-like. I strongly recommend using miniature chocolate chips, as when I tried it with full-sized ones, they melted and sank to the bottom of the pie and formed a large mass.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the overall flavor of your pie.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the dough tough.
  • Chill the dough before rolling it out. This will make it easier to work with and help prevent it from shrinking in the oven.
  • Bake the pie in a preheated oven. This will help to ensure that the crust is cooked evenly.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the pie to set properly.

The combination of chocolate chips, nuts, and gooey filling is irresistible. If you are looking for a delicious and easy-to-make pie, Toll House Pie is the perfect choice.
