BISCUIT MINI-BATCH FOR TOASTER OVEN

Biscuit Mini-Batch for Toaster Oven image

A nice, little batch of fresh, hot, biscuits to make in the toaster oven when you just need a little something. Drop biscuits are no more trouble to make than opening a can of dough and you don't have to keep track of expiration dates. Of course you could roll them and cut them if you wanted, but I've always liked the crunchy bits you get from the texture of the drop biscuits.

RED LOBSTER® CHEDDAR BISCUITS

Red Lobster® Cheddar Biscuits image

I made these with baked potato soup and loved it. Great addition! I gave them to a friend and he said they tasted just like the ones at Red Lobster®. The recipe will yield more if made into smaller biscuits. They are best served fresh out of the oven.

Tips:

  • Before you start, make sure your toaster is clean and free of crumbs. This will prevent the biscuits from sticking and burning.
  • Use a good quality biscuit mix. This will make a big difference in the taste and texture of your biscuits.
  • If you don't have self-rising flour, you can add 1 teaspoon of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of salt to all-purpose flour.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the biscuits tough.
  • Roll out the dough to a thickness of about ½ inch. If the dough is too thick, the biscuits will not cook evenly.
  • Cut the biscuits into rounds using a 2-inch biscuit cutter. If you don't have a biscuit cutter, you can use a glass or a cup.
  • Place the biscuits on a greased baking sheet. Make sure the biscuits are not touching each other.
  • Bake the biscuits in a preheated toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Conclusion:

Toaster biscuits are a quick and easy breakfast or snack. They are perfect for busy mornings or when you are short on time. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have fresh, homemade biscuits in minutes. So next time you are looking for a delicious and satisfying treat, give toaster biscuits a try!
