Steps:
- Toast the nori by passing each sheet repeatedly over a hot burner untli it becomes crisp and the color dulls.
- Put the sheets together and using scissors, slice them into thin strips, then into squares.
- Toast the seeds and salt in a dry skillet over medium heat until the seeds begin to color. Grind them just enough for the salt to adhere. You can use a coffee grinder or a mortar and pestle(or your food processor). Combiine with the nori and pepper flakes.
- Cool, then store in a covered jar so they will stay crisp. Enjoy!
TOASTED SESAME NORI
This is a very unusual and delicious snack. I'm eating these and trying to convince myself they are crisps (chips). Dairy free, Gluten free, Low carbohydrate, Low fat, Low GI, Low sugar, Wheat Free this comes from the food coach. It keeps for up to two weeks in a sealed box and I like to crush it and sprinkle on meals as a garnish.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
- Lay the nori sheets flat on a baking tray.
- Combine the oils and using a pastry brush, brush the oil over the top surface of each sheet.
- Sprinkle the sea salt and sesame over the oiled surface and roast in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Leave to cool before cutting into pieces approx 3 cm square.
Tips:
- Choose high-quality ingredients: Using fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the final dish. Look for nori sheets that are deep green in color and have a slightly shiny surface. Sesame seeds should be plump and golden brown.
- Toast the sesame seeds: Toasting the sesame seeds brings out their nutty flavor and makes them more fragrant. You can toast them in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes, stirring constantly, or you can spread them out on a baking sheet and toast them in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the nori sheets: A sharp knife will help you get clean, even cuts. If you don't have a sharp knife, you can also use a pair of scissors.
- Don't overcrowd the pan: When you're toasting the nori sheets, don't overcrowd the pan. This will make it difficult for the sheets to toast evenly.
- Be careful not to burn the nori sheets: Keep an eye on the nori sheets while they're toasting. They can burn quickly, so it's important to remove them from the heat as soon as they're done.
Conclusion:
Toasted sesame nori is a delicious and versatile snack or ingredient. It can be enjoyed on its own, sprinkled over rice or noodles, or used as a wrap for sushi or other fillings. With its nutty flavor and crispy texture, toasted sesame nori is a great way to add a little something extra to your favorite dishes.
