1 lb ground beef
4 ounces mushrooms
1 large vidalia onion, minced
7 ounces corn
7 ounces peas
7 ounces green beans
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
3 cups instant mashed potatoes
3 garlic cloves, minced
chives, chopped
salt
pepper
paprika
1 beer, of your choice
cumin

Steps:

  • brown ground beef adding salt, pepper, and cumin to taste, add minced onion and garlic. drain off fat. when beef has browned and onion,mushrooms, and garlic have softened remove from heat. prepare instant potatoes. layer the bottom of a casserole dish with ground beef mixture. top ground beef with corn,green beans, and peas. top the whole shebang with the mashed potatoes.sprinkle potatoes with paprika. top potatoes with the shredded cheddar. bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. broil for 2 minutes to brown. crack your beer and enjoy this tasty old school dish!

5-6 medium sized potatoes
1 Tbsp butter
Milk
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 can Campbell's tomato soup
1 can mushrooms, drain
1 can Green Giant French style green beans, water drained
1 can Green Giant corn, water drained
Handful of fresh parsley
1/2 cup Kraft Old Cheddar Cheese
Salt & pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Peel and cut potatoes in quarters. Put into pot of boiling water and cook until tender. Drain and mash adding butter and a splash of milk. Set aside.
  • Cook ground beef until brown adding garlic salt and black pepper while cooking. Add tomato soup and mushrooms (drain water before adding) and bring to a boil.
  • Layer ground beef mixture on the bottom of a casserole dish. Next, add the can of green beans spreading all over meat mixture. Then add the can of corn all over the bean layer. Top off casserole with the mashed potatoes. To spread potatoes easily over corn, take 4 big dollops of potatoes and put at each corner of the dish and one big dollop in the middle. Spread gently with a spatula. Chop up fresh parsley and sprinkle over the top. Add grated cheddar cheese to finish off.
  • Cover with tin foil and bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes.
