TILAPIA WITH PIMIENTO SAUCE

Tilapia With Pimiento Sauce image

I found this recipe on a cooking blog that I frequently read, and it's so good. This dish is so easy because everything is prepared in one skillet, on the stovetop. The fish comes out with tons of flavor, and all the flavors complement each other very well. Any mild, white fish can be subtituted for the tilapia, too. Sometimes, I drain the tomatoes and add 1/4 c. white wine to the sauce. My picture shows this with Recipe #69063, and crusty bread might be good with this too.

GARLIC ALFREDO TILAPIA

Garlic Alfredo Tilapia image

My version of Ruby Tuesday's New Orleans Seafood, minus the shrimp. I merged a few different recipes and came up with this. It comes pretty close! Three fillets are usually enough for my husband, my toddler, and myself. I serve this with rice and steamed broccoli, to really feel like Ruby Tuesday's recipe!

Tips:

  • Utilize Fresh Tilapia Fillets: For the best flavor and texture, use fresh tilapia fillets. Fresh tilapia will have a mild, sweet flavor and a firm texture.
  • Proper Seasoning: Don't be afraid to season the tilapia fillets generously. The combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika creates a flavorful crust on the fish.
  • Crispy Skin: To achieve crispy skin on the tilapia, make sure to pat the fillets dry before cooking. This will help the skin crisp up and prevent it from steaming.
  • Perfect Pan-Seared Tilapia: Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the seasoned tilapia fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and flaky.
  • Zesty Pimiento Sauce: The pimiento sauce is a delicious and vibrant accompaniment to the tilapia. To make the sauce, simply blend together roasted red peppers, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and a touch of cayenne pepper.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve the pan-seared tilapia with the zesty pimiento sauce. You can also add a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete and balanced meal.

Conclusion:

This recipe for Pan-Seared Tilapia with Zesty Pimiento Sauce is a delightful dish that combines the delicate flavor of tilapia with a vibrant and flavorful sauce. The crispy skin and flaky fish, paired with the creamy and tangy pimiento sauce, create a harmonious balance of flavors and textures.
