Tips:

  • Choose fresh tilapia fillets: Look for fillets that are firm and have a mild, slightly sweet smell. Avoid fillets that are slimy or have a strong odor.
  • Pat the tilapia fillets dry: This will help the garlic butter adhere to the fish and prevent it from becoming soggy.
  • Use a generous amount of garlic butter: This will help to flavor the fish and keep it moist. You can also add other herbs and spices to the butter, such as lemon zest, parsley, or paprika.
  • Cook the tilapia fillets over medium heat: This will help to prevent them from overcooking and becoming dry.
  • Baste the tilapia fillets with the garlic butter while they are cooking: This will help to keep them moist and flavorful.
  • Cook the tilapia fillets until they are opaque and flake easily with a fork: This will ensure that they are cooked through.
