Time 10m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (1 teaspoon fresh)
honey (optional)
lemon (optional)

Steps:

  • Place thyme in tea cup and pour over boiling water to cover. Cover cup and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and serve, with honey and/or lemon, if you so desire. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh thyme: Fresh thyme has a more robust flavor than dried thyme, so it's best to use it whenever possible. If you don't have fresh thyme, you can use 1/3 of the amount of dried thyme.
  • Steep the tea for 5-10 minutes: The longer you steep the tea, the stronger the flavor will be. If you like a milder flavor, steep the tea for a shorter amount of time.
  • Add honey or lemon to taste: Thyme tea can be enjoyed plain or with the addition of honey or lemon. Honey will add a touch of sweetness, while lemon will add a bit of tartness.
  • Drink thyme tea hot or cold: Thyme tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. Hot thyme tea is a great way to warm up on a cold day, while cold thyme tea is a refreshing drink on a hot day.

Conclusion:

Thyme tea is a delicious and healthy drink that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. Whether you like it hot or cold, sweet or tart, thyme tea is a great way to relax and enjoy the benefits of this herb.
