1/2 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup chopped and drained sun-dried tomato packed in oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 plum tomatoes, chopped

chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Steps:

Tips:

  • Use ripe, flavorful tomatoes: The quality of your tomatoes will make a big difference in the taste of your pasta. Look for tomatoes that are deep red and fragrant.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the tomatoes, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and will make them more likely to stick to the pan.
  • Simmer the tomatoes for at least 30 minutes: This will allow the flavors to develop and deepen.
  • Season the tomatoes to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other spices to taste. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes.
  • Use a good quality pasta: The type of pasta you use will also affect the taste of your dish. Look for a pasta that is made with high-quality ingredients and that has a good texture.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: This means that the pasta should be tender but still have a slight bite to it.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs: Before serving, garnish your pasta with fresh herbs such as basil, parsley, or oregano. This will add a pop of color and flavor.

Conclusion:

Three-tomato pasta is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and satisfying pasta dish that the whole family will enjoy. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give this three-tomato pasta recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
