Time 4h10m

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups water
6 oz Orange Jello Mix
3 ounce instant vanilla pudding
11 ounce can Mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 of a 20 ounce can of Pineapple chunks, drained
One 8 ounce container cool whip

Steps:

  • Mix together 4 cups of water, orange jello mix, and vanilla pudding mix in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring the whole time to keep clumps from forming. Once it starts to boil, remove from heat. Pour into a heat-resistant container (I usually use a glass baking dish), cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for about four hours. Remove from fridge and break up the jello into chunks. Place in a large bowl. Add in the pineapple, mandarin oranges, and whipped cream and mix around until everything is combined. Keep refrigerated until you are ready to serve.

Tips:

  • Choose the right oranges. For the best flavor, use fresh, ripe oranges. Avoid oranges that are bruised or have blemishes.
  • Zest the oranges before juicing them. The zest of an orange is packed with flavor, so be sure to zest the oranges before you juice them. You can use a microplane zester or a vegetable peeler to remove the zest.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your salad will taste. Use fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.
  • Don't overmix the salad. Overmixing will make the salad watery and bland. Mix the salad just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the salad before serving. This will help the flavors to meld and the salad will be more refreshing.
