Tips:

  • Choose the right oranges: For the best flavor, use navel oranges. They are sweet and juicy, with a thin rind that is easy to zest.
  • Use fresh ginger and garlic: Fresh ginger and garlic will give your orange chicken the best flavor. If you don't have fresh ginger or garlic on hand, you can use ground ginger or garlic powder, but the flavor will not be as good.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken breasts can dry out quickly, so be careful not to overcook them. Cook them until they are just cooked through, or they will become tough and chewy.
  • Use a good quality soy sauce: Soy sauce is a key ingredient in orange chicken, so be sure to use a good quality soy sauce. Look for a soy sauce that is made with natural ingredients and has a rich, flavorful taste.
  • Serve orange chicken with rice: Orange chicken is traditionally served with rice. You can use white rice, brown rice, or even cauliflower rice.
