Tips:

  • Choose ripe and flavorful berries. Using sweet and juicy berries will ensure a delicious final product. If you can't find fresh berries, frozen berries can be used instead. Just be sure to thaw them before using.
  • Use a variety of berries. This will give your crisp a more complex flavor. Some good combinations include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. You can also use other fruits, such as apples, peaches, or pears.
  • Don't overmix the topping. Overmixing will result in a tough and dense topping. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Bake the crisp until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling. This will usually take about 30-35 minutes. If you're using a glass baking dish, you may need to bake the crisp for a few minutes longer.
  • Let the crisp cool slightly before serving. This will help the topping set and make the crisp easier to scoop.
  • Serve the crisp with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a dollop of yogurt. These toppings will add a delicious richness and creaminess to the crisp.

Conclusion:

Three-berry crisp is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its sweet and juicy berries, crispy oat topping, and creamy ice cream or whipped cream, this classic dessert is sure to be a hit with everyone.
