1 tablespoon mirin

1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1-2 tablespoons water (, or until desired consistency is reached)
optional: a few splashes of hot sauce or cayenne pepper for a touch of heat
optional: a small pinch of smoked paprika for a hint of smokiness

3 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp rice vinegar
glass or plastic mixing bowl

  • 1. Add all of the ingredients to the mising bowl and thoroughly stir to combine.
  • 2. Cover bowl & place into the refrigerator for at least four to six hours. If you can let it stand overnight then that is best as it allows all of the flavors to meld together.
