Provided by Lauren Allen

Categories     Main Course

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 ½ pounds ground chuck (80/20)*
1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 buns (, toasted, if desired)
6 slices cheddar cheese (, or your favorite cheese)
6 Lettuce leaves
1 Beefsteak tomato (, sliced)
1/2 of a Red or white onion (, thinly sliced)
6 Pickle slices

Steps:

  • Make burger seasoning by combining all spices in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Divide ground chuck into 6 equal portions and gently from into 1/2 inch thick patties that are wider than the burger buns (as they will shrink). Use your thumb to press an indentation into the center of each patty. Cover and set aside.
  • Preheat grill to medium high heat. Just before cooking, sprinkle seasoning over the patties, then place on hot grill, indent-side up. Close grill lid and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the bottom of the burger is seared and juices are accumulating on top of the burger. Flip and cook an additional 3-4 minutes or until the beef reaches 160 degrees F.
  • Place cheese on burgers during the last minute of cooking. Remove to a plate and allow to rest for a few minutes before serving in a bun, with toppings.

JUICIEST HAMBURGERS EVER

Get creative and mix up different seasonings if you like. This technique is terrific and can carry an array of flavors!

Categories     Burgers

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 lb ground chuck
1 c water
1 Tbsp McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and form your burgers. I like to make 3 burgers per pound. I figure 1/2 cup of water per pound of ground beef. Adjust your seasoning for the number of burgers.
  • 2. For best results, cook your burgers on an outdoor gas or charcoal grill. Cook until medium.
  • 3. Just add your buns, favorite toppings and you are set.
  • 4. Sometimes I leave the steak seasoning out and just go with the salt and pepper. The secret to the juiciest burger is the water.

Tips:

  • Use a blend of ground chuck and brisket: This will give your burgers a juicy and flavorful taste.
  • Season the meat liberally: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Don't overmix the meat: Overmixing will make the burgers tough.
  • Form the burgers gently: Don't press down on them too hard.
  • Make a thumbprint in the center of each burger: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat: This will help them cook through without burning.
  • Flip the burgers only once: Flipping them too often will make them dry.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the burgers for doneness: The internal temperature should reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare burgers.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving: This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat.

Conclusion:

Following these tips, you can make the juiciest hamburgers ever. These burgers are perfect for grilling, frying, or baking. They are sure to be a hit at your next cookout or party. So fire up the grill and get cooking!
