THE BEST EVER GRILLED CHICKEN MARINADE

The BEST EVER Grilled Chicken Marinade image

Number Of Ingredients 11

½ cup oil
½ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1/8 cup lemon juice
¾ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp fresh rosemary
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
6 chicken breasts or 3.5 lb chicken

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large ziplock bag.
  • Add chicken to the bag and place the closed ziplock bag in a large bowl and put in the fridge. (The bowl will keep it from making a huge mess in case the bag leaks)
  • Marinade for at least 8 hours or overnight and grill! Enjoy!
  • (I do not add any extra salt to my chicken marinade because salt will dry the chicken out. ALWAYS salt the chicken AFTER you grill it to ensure. It will need a good bit of salt after it is done)

Tips:

  • Use an acidic base: This can be anything from citrus juice to vinegar or yogurt. The acid will help to break down the proteins in the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.
  • Add some oil: Oil helps to keep the meat moist and prevent it from drying out. It also helps to carry the flavors of the other ingredients in the marinade.
  • Use fresh herbs and spices: Fresh herbs and spices will give your marinade a more intense flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but use about half the amount.
  • Let the meat marinate for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate the meat, the more flavor it will absorb. However, don't marinate the meat for more than 24 hours, or it will start to break down.
  • Bring the meat to room temperature before cooking: This will help the meat to cook evenly. If you cook the meat straight from the refrigerator, it will be more likely to be overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside.

Conclusion:

Marinating meat is a great way to add flavor and tenderize it. With so many different marinade recipes to choose from, you're sure to find one that you'll love. So next time you're cooking meat, don't forget to marinate it first. You won't be disappointed.
