  • In a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Add cream, oil and honey; beat well.

Tips:

  • Use fresh cornmeal. Fresh cornmeal has a sweeter, more flavorful taste than cornmeal that has been sitting on the shelf for a while. If you can't find fresh cornmeal, you can substitute all-purpose flour, but the cornbread won't be as flavorful.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the cornbread tough. Stir just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cornbread in a hot oven. A hot oven will help the cornbread rise and brown properly. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit before baking the cornbread.
  • Let the cornbread cool slightly before serving. This will help the cornbread hold together when you cut it.

Conclusion:

Honey cornbread is a delicious and versatile side dish that can be served with a variety of meals. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like it sweet or savory, there's a honey cornbread recipe out there for you. So next time you're looking for a side dish that will impress your family and friends, give honey cornbread a try.
