Time 15m

Yield 6-7 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 fresh cantaloupe
15 ounces dark sweet cherries (1 can or 3 and 1/2 cups fresh)
2 cups seedless grapes (whatever kind you prefer)
2 fresh bananas
2 cups fresh strawberries
1 apple
3 cups marshmallows
8 ounces strawberry yogurt
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (or "a dash")
1 tablespoon honey (or "a squirt")
2 1/2 cups Cool Whip (10 ounces)

Steps:

  • Chop all fruit into bite sized pieces. You CAN cut the grapes and cherries, but I usually do not.
  • Throw all the fruit into a very large bowl and add cool whip, yogurt, marshmallows.
  • Add powdered sugar, cinnamon, and honey.
  • I usually freeze this, but tastes good in the refrigerator, too! Although, fruit doesn't keep as long in refrigerator, and the freezy treat is tastier to me :D.

BEST EVER TROPICAL FRUIT SALAD RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Best Ever Tropical Fruit Salad Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by Booper-2

Number Of Ingredients 11

CITRUS POPPY SEED DRESSING:
12 mandarin oranges, divided (for dressing and salad)
2 cup strawberries, sliced
1 pineapple, cut into bite size chunks
5 kiwi, sliced
3 mangoes, cut into bite size chunks
1 medium lemon
1 lime
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon Gourmet Garden Ginger Paste or fresh grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Wash and dry lemon, lime and 2 mandarin oranges. Zest the washed and dried citrus with a zester or fine grater. Add to 1 cup measuring cup or small bowl. Cut each in half and squeeze the juice into the measuring cup. (You should get about 1/2 cup juice). Add honey, ginger and poppy seeds to juice mixture and whisk until combined. Set aside or place in the refrigerator if serving later. Prepare remaining fruit. Slice strawberries and kiwi. Section remaining oranges. Cut pineapple and mango into bite size chunks. Place fruit in a large bowl. Pour dressing on top of fruit about 30 minutes before serving. Gently toss to coat. Serve and enjoy! Cook's note: This fruit salad is fabulous with whatever you have on hand. I love carambola (star fruit) and papaya in this salad as well. Bananas are lovely, but have to be added at the last minute or they will get soft and not look pretty.

PERFECT SUMMER FRUIT SALAD

Perfect Summer Fruit Salad image

The perfect fruit salad for a backyard bbq or any occasion. There are never leftovers! This is one of my favorite fruit salad recipes, as I think the sauce really makes it. This salad is tastier the longer you can let it soak in its juices. I prefer 3 to 4 hours in the refrigerator before I serve it. Enjoy.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, seasonal fruit. This will ensure that your fruit salad is bursting with flavor.
  • Wash your fruit thoroughly before cutting it. This will help to remove any bacteria or pesticides.
  • Cut your fruit into bite-sized pieces. This will make it easier to eat and will help to prevent the fruit from browning.
  • Add a variety of fruits to your salad. This will give your salad a more complex flavor and will make it more visually appealing.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different fruits. There are many different fruits that can be used in a fruit salad, so feel free to experiment until you find a combination that you love.
  • Add a dressing to your fruit salad, if desired. A simple dressing made with honey, lemon juice, and mint can help to enhance the flavor of the fruit.
  • Serve your fruit salad immediately or chill it for later. Fruit salad is best enjoyed fresh, but it can also be chilled for later. If you are chilling your fruit salad, be sure to cover it tightly to prevent it from browning.
