THE BEST CHEESEBALL

Super simple and delicious. I made 1 cheeseball, but this recipe makes 4 cheeseballs. Feel free to cut the recipe back if you don't want quite that much delicious cheeseball floating around. I have a friend who makes this for Christmas gifts. Serving size is estimated. Recipe courtesy of My Kitchen Cafe.

Time 15m

Yield 4 cheeseballs, 32 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

32 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
1 cup pecans, finely chopped for rolling

Steps:

  • Place finely chopped pecans in a shallow dish and set aside.
  • In a large bowl (or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment), mix the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the cheddar cheese and mix until just combined.
  • Lightly sprinkle all the seasonings and sauces over the cheese mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • With lightly greased hands, portion the cheese mixture into 4 pieces and roll each section into a round ball.
  • Coat in pecans.
  • The easiest way to do this is to hold the cheeseball in one and and scoop up the pecans and press them onto the cheeseball with the other, turning the cheeseball as you go and letting the excess pecans fall back into the dish (this helps the pecans go farther).
  • Cover each cheeseball in saran wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

THE BEST CHEESEBALL EVER

I was skeptical about the pineapple in this recipe, but you really can't tell that's what it is. It was delicious, and I'd make this again. I rolled mine in spicy almonds. Super simple, and delicious. Serving size is estimated.

Time 15m

Yield 10-15 2 cheese balls

Number Of Ingredients 5

16 ounces cream cheese, softened (at room temperature)
15 1/4 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
2 teaspoons Lawry's Seasoned Salt
3 green onions, chopped (or more depending on your taste)
chopped pecans or chopped walnuts, for coating

Steps:

  • Whip cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  • Add the pineapple, seasoned salt, and green onions until well mixed.
  • Form mixture into a ball. This was easier if I refrigerated the cheese ball for an hour before this step. I also found I preferred splitting this into 2 normal sized cheese balls instead of 1 huge cheese ball because it was easier to handle.
  • Roll the ball in the nuts.
  • Serve with crackers.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality cream cheese: The cream cheese is the base of the cheeseball, so it's important to use a good quality brand. Look for cream cheese that is smooth and spreadable, with no lumps.
  • Soften the cream cheese to room temperature: This will make it easier to mix and will help the cheeseball have a smooth texture.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: Don't just stick to cream cheese. Adding other cheeses, such as cheddar, Parmesan, or goat cheese, will give the cheeseball more flavor and depth.
  • Don't overmix the cheeseball: Overmixing will make the cheeseball tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the cheeseball before serving: This will help it to firm up and make it easier to slice.
  • Serve the cheeseball with a variety of crackers, vegetables, and fruit: This will give your guests options and allow them to customize their snacks.

Conclusion:

The Best Cheeseball Ever is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy texture, cheesy flavor, and variety of toppings, it's sure to be a hit with your guests. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack, give this recipe a try.
