Tips:

  • Choose the right ground turkey: Use a mixture of dark and light meat for a moist and flavorful meatloaf. Ground turkey breast can be too lean and dry.
  • Use a food processor to grind the turkey: This will ensure that the meat is evenly ground and will help to create a smooth and cohesive meatloaf.
  • Add plenty of seasonings and herbs: Thanksgiving turkey meatloaf is a great opportunity to use up leftover herbs and spices. Some good options include sage, thyme, rosemary, garlic, and onion.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture: Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Shape the meatloaf into a loaf pan: Use a loaf pan that is about 9x5 inches in size. Make sure to press the meatloaf mixture firmly into the pan so that it holds together.
  • Bake the meatloaf at a high temperature for a short amount of time: This will help to create a crispy crust on the outside of the meatloaf while keeping the inside moist.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: This will help to keep the juices from running out of the meatloaf when you slice it.

Conclusion:

Thanksgiving turkey meatloaf is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a holiday meal. With its moist and flavorful interior and crispy crust, this meatloaf is sure to be a hit with your family and friends. Plus, it's a great way to use up leftover turkey.
