AWARD WINNING MEATBALLS IN PEANUT SAUCE

Marvel over these meatballs while watching (hopefully) Black Panther at the Oscars. The movie is taken place in a fictional African country. I came up with these tasty morsels using spices of the regions. Break out the fondue or wrap in lettuce. These will leave an impression just as the movie did! ;) Geniet!

This is a really yummy recipe I got out of Hello Magazine years ago. The dipping sauce is a must! Serve either as a starter or serve with noodles/stir fry as a main meal. It takes a bit of prep, but is worth it!

  • Use a variety of meats. Ground chicken, pork, and beef are all popular choices for Thai meatballs. You can also use a combination of meats for a more complex flavor.
  • Add plenty of herbs and spices. Thai meatballs are typically flavored with a variety of fresh herbs, such as cilantro, basil, and mint. Common spices include garlic, ginger, lemongrass, and chili peppers. You can adjust the amount of spices to taste.
  • Don't overmix the meatball mixture. Overmixing can make the meatballs tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.

  • Serve the meatballs with a dipping sauce. Peanut sauce is a popular choice for Thai meatballs, but you can also use other sauces, such as sweet chili sauce or hoisin sauce.
