Yield Makes 4 (8-ounce) drinks

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 ounces (3/4 cup) frozen limeade concentrate
6 ounces (3/4 cup) tequila
4 ounces (1/2 cup) beer
2 ounces (1/4 cup) orange juice
2 cups ice cubes
Coarse salt (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. In a blender, combine all ingredients except salt. Blend on high until smooth and slushy. Serve in salt-rimmed glasses, if desired.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your margarita will taste. This is especially true for the lime juice. If you can, use fresh-squeezed lime juice instead of bottled lime juice.
  • Chill your ingredients: Chilling your ingredients will help to create a more refreshing margarita. You can chill your tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 30 minutes before making your margarita.
  • Use the right proportions: The key to a good margarita is to use the right proportions of tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur. The classic recipe calls for equal parts of each ingredient, but you can adjust the proportions to suit your own taste.
  • Shake vigorously: Shaking your margarita vigorously will help to combine the ingredients and create a smooth, frothy drink. Shake your margarita for at least 10 seconds, or until it is well-chilled.
  • Serve in a chilled glass: Serving your margarita in a chilled glass will help to keep it cold and refreshing. You can chill your glasses in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge: Garnishing your margarita with a lime wedge is a classic way to add a touch of flavor and color. You can also garnish your margarita with other fruits, such as oranges, grapefruit, or strawberries.

With its combination of tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and Grand Marnier, the Texas margarita is sure to please everyone.
