Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb fajita *beef skirt*
9 large yellow *valley* lemons
cracked pepper
salt
large bowl
grill

Steps:

  • 1. Wash hands and prepare a clean space/cutting board and knife for this first. Make sure to turn your grill on a head of time. Trim the fat off, leave as much or as little as you like. Cut against the grain into strips. If strips are too long, simply cut in half.
  • 2. Halve lemons, and remove seeds. In a separate large bowl, squeeze lemons and add fajitas. Add as much salt as you like, but add plenty of cracked pepper. Soak fajitas in salt, pepper, and lemon mixture for 10 minutes. After grill is hot, place fajitas. Let them cook with their natural juices, cook at desired temp. If you like them medium, cook them 5 min on each side. But preferably well done. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use flank steak or skirt steak for the fajitas. These cuts of meat are thin and flavorful, and they cook quickly.
  • Slice the meat against the grain. This will help to tenderize the meat and make it easier to chew.
  • Marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes. This will help to infuse the meat with flavor.
  • Cook the meat over high heat. This will help to sear the meat and lock in the juices.
  • Do not overcook the meat. Fajitas are best when they are cooked to a medium-rare or medium doneness.
  • Serve the fajitas with warm tortillas, your favorite toppings, and salsa.

Conclusion:

Texas fajitas are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. By following these tips, you can make sure that your fajitas are tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give Texas fajitas a try!
