2 cups (8 ounces) Mexican cheese blend, shredded and divided
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain, rinse, and drain again; set aside in a large bowl. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Return to oven and bake 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with cilantro just before serving.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the dish will taste. This means using fresh, flavorful vegetables, high-quality ground beef, and a good blend of spices.
  • Don't skimp on the cheese: Cheese is what makes Tex-Mex ziti so delicious. Use a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, or a combination of both.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: Al dente pasta is slightly firm to the bite. This will help it hold its shape and not become mushy when it's baked in the oven.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: Vegetables add color, flavor, and texture to Tex-Mex ziti. Use a variety of vegetables, such as bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and corn.
  • Don't overcook the sauce: The sauce for Tex-Mex ziti should be simmered for just a few minutes, until it's heated through. Overcooking the sauce can make it thick and gloppy.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Tex-Mex ziti is delicious on its own, but it can also be served with a variety of toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, or tortilla chips.

Conclusion:

Tex-Mex ziti is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for any occasion. It's a great way to use up leftover pasta, and it's also a great dish to feed a crowd. With its flavorful sauce, cheesy topping, and variety of vegetables, Tex-Mex ziti is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
