GRILLED TERIYAKI PORK CHOPS

Grilled Teriyaki Pork Chops image

The homemade teriyaki-style marinade for these pork chops reduces in the microwave to become a tasty sauce. Coconut aminos are used as the basis of the marinade, instead of soy sauce, and other than a small amount of orange juice, there is no added sugar.

Provided by Bibi

Categories     Main Dish Recipes     Pork     Pork Chop Recipes

Time 4h40m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 10

¼ cup coconut aminos (soy-free seasoning sauce)
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 ½ teaspoons rice vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon sesame oil
1 pinch salt to taste
4 (1/2 inch thick) bone-in pork loin chops
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Combine coconut aminos, orange juice, fish sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ginger, sesame oil, and salt in a 1-gallon resealable bag. Gently squeeze ingredients to mix. Add pork chops, squeeze most of the air out of the bag, and seal. Pork chops should be in a single layer. Place in the refrigerator and marinate for about 4 hours, turning every hour, and keeping the bag flat.
  • Preheat an outdoor gas grill to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Remove pork chops from the marinade and pour marinade into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high until the marinade reduces to about 1/2 cup, about 3 minutes. Set sauce aside.
  • Oil the cooking grate and add chops. Grill for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, then rotate and grill until marks appear, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes more. Turn the chops and repeat. After the second rotation, turn the heat down to the lowest setting, close the lid, and continue cooking until the internal temperature of the thickest chop is 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), 4 to 5 minutes. Remove chops to a serving platter, tent with foil, and allow to rest for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Warm reserved sauce in the microwave. Serve grilled pork chops warm with 2 tablespoons sauce, garnished with sesame seeds.

BAKED TERIYAKI PORK CHOPS

Baked Teriyaki Pork Chops image

These Pork Chops turn out tender and flavorful and when you add the sides it really is awesome! This is a very simple meal that I came up with many years ago and it is one of my family's favorites.

Provided by Janette Suber

Categories     Pork

Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 9

6-8 boneless ribeye cut or boneless pork chops
1 Tbsp mrs. dash chicken seasoning
1 Tbsp weber roasted garlic and herb seasoning
1 Tbsp bad byron's butt rub
1 Tbsp mccormick montreal steak seasoning (25% less sodium)
1 Tbsp mccormick smoked paprika
1/2 c kikkoman teriyaki sauce
1/2 c worcestershire sauce
2 large sheets aluminum foil

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat Oven to 350°.
  • 2. **NOTE** I SAY 1 TBSP ON ALL SEASONINGS, HOWEVER, I AM NOT TRULY SURE OF AMOUNT, DUE TO I USUALLY JUST SPRINKLE THEM ON EACH PORK CHOP SPARINGLY, YOU DO NOT WANT A CRUST OF SEASONINGS, JUST A HINT OF FLAVOR.
  • 3. Cover deep baking pan with Aluminum foil, mold it to the inside of pan without tearing it. Sprinkle bottom of pan with each Dry Seasoning, no sauces just yet. Place all Pork Chops in pan, sprinkle sparingly with each Seasoning. Pour Teriyaki sauce over Pork Chops. (I hold the bottle over the pan and make a pass over each chop and down the sides of the pan, you just want a little juice between each chop that you can see.) I repeat same with Worcestershire Sauce.
  • 4. Place second piece of Aluminum foil over top of pan and seal it all the way around. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes. Then prepare Sides for oven. I try to get the Sweet Potato Patties in with the chops. I make baked Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Sweet Potato Patties and either Speckled Butter Beans or Petite Lima Beans with this dish. Recipes included in my recipe box.
  • 5. Before you remove Chops from oven, take off top foil and let them Brown in the oven for about 15 minutes. By this time the Sweet Potato Patties should be done.

TERIYAKI PORK CHOPS RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Teriyaki Pork Chops Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by á-5531

Number Of Ingredients 6

3/4 C. soy sauce
1/4 C. lemon juice
1 tbls. chili sauce
1 tbls. brown sugar
1 garlic clove, crushed
Boneless pork chops **

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Pour over meat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours prior to heating. Either bake or grill to your liking. ** Also good with chicken!

Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops. Look for bone-in pork chops that are at least 1 inch thick. This will ensure that the chops stay moist and juicy during cooking.
  • Make sure the pork chops are seasoned well. A good marinade or rub will help to flavor the chops and keep them moist. If you're using a marinade, be sure to let the chops marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Cook the pork chops over medium heat. This will help to prevent the chops from drying out. If you're grilling the chops, cook them over indirect heat.
  • Don't overcook the pork chops. Overcooked pork chops will be tough and dry. The chops are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 155 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, or 165 degrees Fahrenheit for well-done.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the chops, making them more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Teriyaki pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a dish that is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give teriyaki pork chops a try. You won't be disappointed!
