Teriyaki Marinated Sirloin Strips image

Thanks to my friend Royce for this recipe! You can also use other types of beef and I'm also going to try it with turkey.

Provided by Debbi Bitner

Categories     Beef

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

8-10 lb sirloin tip roast cut into lunchmeat thickness
3 bottle teryaki sauce
1/4 c whiskey
3 c sugar or other sweetener
small bunch of chopped green onions
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Place meat in a very large plastic or glass container.
  • 2. Stir all other ingredients together and pour over the meat.
  • 3. Place a lid on container and store in refrigerator for 2-3 days. Stir all once in morning and once in evening for each day.
  • 4. Grill and serve on bread of choice.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Choose flank steak or skirt steak that is well-marbled for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes: This will help to tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: This will help to create a nice crust on the outside while keeping the inside tender and juicy.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing: This will help to keep the juices in the meat and prevent it from becoming dry.
  • Serve the steak with your favorite sides: Some popular options include rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Teriyaki marinated sirloin strips are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The marinade is simple to make and can be used on other types of steak as well. The steak is cooked quickly over high heat, so it is important to use a meat thermometer to ensure that it is cooked to your desired doneness. Serve the steak with your favorite sides for a complete and satisfying meal.
